Firstly can i say a very big well done to our activities co-ordinator Lucy frost and one of our care team Lorraine Plumstead who together completed the swanage to Corfe Castle walk to raise money for The Alzheimers Society.The day was a windy affair but they reached there destination and a well earned drink .

Activities at Wordsworth House was a busy one as we made the most of the sunshine and had trips to the beach for icecream and cake as well as a trip to Saint Marys Church in swanage a request from one of our residents who was able to light a candle in memory of her husband as well as sing some hymns.We were able to do some activities in the garden as well as enjoy the residents and staff BBQ.Thankyou once again to Di Castle who came in to do her monthly residents poetry club and i can say they are now working on a poem together so we look forward to reading it.We also had our weekly /monthly activities which included scrabble (Tracie lost again),exercise classes ,arts & crafts and sensory activities.A big thankyou to the Rev Andy of St Marys church who once again delivered a busy hymn service.Also a big thankyou to our two volunteers Jose and Tony who came in to help with arts and crafts making lavender bags.
September sees the long awaited trip to Bovington Tank Museum which we are all looking forward too as well activities to fit in along side Nutrition week and i love food day.
