Wow nearly the end of the year and another busy month of activities here at Wordsworth House.Along with our usual activities of floor games and arts & crafts our residents had a fabulous selfie day with pudsey bear.We enjoyed a morning of taking selfies with our very own in house pudsey bear and managed to crack lots of happy smiles.
November as we know can bring alot of memories for our residents especially on rememberance Sunday so we were able to make our own poppies for everyone in the house which all our residents wore with pride on the day.Di Castle once again joined us this month for our poetry club which as always is a great little club to have on a regular basis Thankyou Di.
Unfortunatley we have to say goodbye to our Pet therapy dog Georgie who has now gone into retirement.Thankyou to Liz & Georgie who have brought so many smiles to our residents you will be missed.I will now be looking out for another trained Pet Therapy dog to take Georgies place as having Georgie visit our residents was great the interaction especially with anyone who has dementia was fantastic and the effect that an animal can have on moods and social interaction in general is always a good thing.
We are now going in to December and our activities calender is full here at Wordsworth House and i look forward to next months blog so until then all that is left to say is
We wish you all a very merry Christmas.
From all the team here at Wordsworth House
