In March we celebrated St Patrick day. The residents made their own Irish doughnuts which they enjoyed with Irish coffee. The Rev. Andy Roberts delivered a lovely Easter service followed by wonderful hymn singing. We would like to thank Jose and Tony who visit us every week to help with activities. this month in arts and crafts we made red, white and blue flower badges ready for next months royal street party and St Georges day. We played our normal floor games and of the course the weekly scrabble contest. Tracie is pleased to announce that her team actually managed to beat Lucie’s team, only once though!
In April, as the weather improves, we saw the start of hopefully many trips out this summer. We went to Durlston Castle for tea and cake. Despite the breezy weather we were able to enjoy the magical views.
Pamper day this month was throw back 80’s, we even had the care manager reminiscing about her younger years.
Holy communion and hymns were received well as always. But the highlight of the month was our right royal knees up party to celebrate the queens 90th birthday. As ever a party at Wordsworth house isn’t complete without the fabulous Steve Whale. We even had a visit from her royal highness, aka Lucy! (photos to follow)
Di Castle visited us again for poetry month.
We are looking forward to May and hopefully the start of summer activities in the garden.
